• AI Processing: Your conversations and photos are processed by artificial intelligence to extract profile insights, generate responses, create match introductions, and provide conversation nudges.
• Communication: To facilitate direct messaging between matched users and to send system notifications.
• Safety and Moderation: To filter harmful content, process reports, enforce blocks, and maintain a safe environment.
• Service Improvement: To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve our matching algorithms and user experience.
• Account Management: To authenticate your identity, manage your account, and provide customer support.

3. Third-Party AI Processing

Our Service uses artificial intelligence provided by Anthropic, PBC ("Anthropic") to power the matchmaker conversations, profile analysis, photo descriptions, content filtering, and match introductions.

When you interact with our matchmaker or upload photos, your input is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic processes this data according to their own privacy policy and data handling practices.

4. Information Shared With Other Users

Privacy is at our core. Here's what other people can see:

• Before a match: Nothing. Your profile is not browsable. Other users cannot search for or view your information.
• When matched: Your match receives a personalized introduction written by the AI matchmaker. This includes your first name and describes your personality and why you might be compatible. It does not include your email, last name, or raw conversation data.
• Photos: Automatically shared when you are matched. If the match ends, photos are hidden.
• Direct messages: Visible only to you and your match.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information, conversations, profile data, and photos for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

Direct messages in active matches may be retained for up to 90 days after account deletion to avoid disrupting the other user's experience, after which they will be anonymized or deleted.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit.
• Secure authentication via OAuth 2.0 and encrypted sessions.
• Rate limiting to prevent abuse and brute-force attacks.
• Content filtering to block malicious uploads and messages.
• Input validation and parameterized queries to prevent injection attacks.
• Secure file upload handling with malware scanning.
• Regular security audits and monitoring.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your information using commercially reasonable means.

Your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our service providers (including Anthropic) may operate.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms to transfer your data internationally, including:

• Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
